We’ve got something pretty incredible to share—Simplicity CU has been honored with the 2024 Governor’s Financial Literacy Award!

Presented by Governor Tony Evers and the Governor’s Council on Financial Literacy and Capability, this award celebrates organizations that go above and beyond to build financial confidence in their communities. And we’re beyond proud to say, “Hey, that’s us!”

So, what does that mean? It means the work we do—from running in-school branches in Loyal, Marshfield, and Stevens Point to delivering age-appropriate classroom lessons—is making a real impact. It means the time and care we put into creating financial education programs that feel approachable and fun is helping our members (and future members!) make smart money moves.

As our CEO, Nick Faber, put it:

“Receiving the Governor’s Financial Literacy Award is a testament to the passion our team brings to financial education every day. We believe that a financially confident community is a stronger community—and we’re honored to be part of that growth.”

This recognition is a huge deal, but it’s also just the beginning. We’re not done. Not even close. We’re going to keep evolving our programs, showing up in schools and community spaces, and making sure financial know-how is something everyone can access, understand, and use in real life.
