Simplicity Credit Union announced the success of its fourth annual “Serving for Pat” fundraiser, which raised more than $19,000 in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Wisconsin. The funds raised will help provide mentorship opportunities that positively impact local youth.
“We’re incredibly proud to contribute to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Wisconsin,” said Angela Heiden, Mortgage Sales Manager at Simplicity CU. “This donation reflects the caring spirit of our community and how a small group of people can make a big difference.”
This year’s event was held on August 16th at Sceeter & Otis' Village Inn in Hewitt, WI. A total of eight teams competed in volleyball, while seven teams participated in baggo. Attendees enjoyed volleyball and baggo tournaments with top prizes of $300 and $150. 150 attendees also enjoyed Bingo, Food, drinks, raffle prizes, and a 50/50 raffle. Guests also had the chance to win from 45 raffle baskets - 10 more than in 2024!
Ben Bauer, Executive Director of Exclamation, emphasized the team effort required to make the event a success: “We’re so grateful to everyone who participated, volunteered, and supported Serving for Pat this year. This event also wouldn’t be possible without our fantastic sponsors and donors. It's a meaningful way to honor Pat's legacy and bring our community together.”
Plans are already underway for the fifth annual Serving for Pat event, scheduled for Saturday, August 15th, 2026. Community members, local businesses, and past participants are all invited to join in on the fun!
