School Branches are an important part of how we help the youngest members of our communities learn. We believe that the best way to help kids (and parents, and our team) build healthy money habits is to show up and be where they are. Not only does that make learning to save, spend, and share a whole lot easier, but they’ll also learn to trust us to help them through the tough stuff when they’re older.
What we do to teach kids (and everybody else) how to handle money today can make their whole lives better. We’re SO TOTALLY here for that!
Does my student need a Simplicity CU account to use the School Branch?
We’re so glad you asked! Most of the services we offer, including deposits at our Nasonville Elementary and Loyal Schools branches and withdrawals and check cashing at our High School Branches, do mean that your student needs their own account.

Both high school branches are full-service branches for their school communities. These branches give students the chance to learn about their own accounts and finances in a no-pressure environment. PLUS, we offer bonus financial education through fun and rewarding activities like games and trivia.
AND that fun and learning are open for all students during their lunch hours, no account needed.
Because smart savings is the best place to start, these schools have deposit-only branches. Students of all ages can deposit as much as they are able each week. (A little or a lot, that loose change adds up!). Because we're focused on building regular savings habits, not how much money students can save, each school has a goal of 500 deposits each school year. When that goal is met, Simplicity donates $500 to the school.
Nasonville and Loyal school branches are student-run with the help of a member of the Simplicity CU Team. The students (6th grade at Nasonville and 8th at Loyal) apply, interview, and train for their Teller and Marketing positions at their school’s branch.
